Life Coaching and Mediumship Development: Roles and Boundaries

Updated: 9 hours ago

Life coaching and mediumship development can both involve goals and reflection, but they are different services and neither replaces regulated professional care.

Life Coaching

Coaching commonly helps a client clarify goals, identify actions and review progress. A coach does not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions unless separately qualified to do so.

Mediumship Development

Mediumship teaching focuses on spiritual practice, evidence, communication and ethics. It cannot guarantee ability, accuracy or contact with spirit.

Keeping Roles Clear

If one practitioner offers both services, they should explain which role applies, what the session covers and how personal information will be handled. Spiritual impressions should not be used to direct a client’s life or create dependence.

When Other Support Is Needed

Medical symptoms, trauma, crisis, debt and legal problems require appropriately qualified support. Coaching and mediumship must not replace healthcare, therapy, legal or financial advice.

Choosing Responsibly

Check qualifications where relevant, prices, boundaries, policies and expected outcomes. Avoid guaranteed transformation or claims that failure reflects poor belief.

Both services can support reflection when their purpose, limits and professional boundaries remain clear.
