Refund and Cancellation Policy for all bookings.
REFUND, CANCELLATION AND BOOKING POLICY
Last updated: 18 August 2026
This policy applies to bookings and purchases made with Danielle The Happy Medium. By completing a booking or purchase, you agree to these terms. Nothing in this policy excludes or restricts any rights you have under UK consumer law.
-
DATED EVENTS, DEMONSTRATIONS, WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES
Tickets and places for events, demonstrations, workshops, classes and other leisure services arranged for a specific date or period are non-refundable when the customer cancels, cannot attend or changes their mind, except where UK consumer law requires otherwise.
You may transfer your place to another person if you notify Danielle in writing before the event and receive confirmation. Moving a booking to another date is not guaranteed and is entirely at Danielle’s discretion.
If you arrive late, leave early or do not attend, no refund or partial refund will be given.
-
PRIVATE READINGS AND APPOINTMENTS
Please give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to change a private reading or appointment. Where sufficient notice is given, Danielle may allow one transfer to another available date.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice and missed appointments are non-refundable. If you are late, the appointment may still finish at its original end time and no partial refund will be given.
-
COURSES, MENTORING AND MULTI-SESSION PROGRAMMES
A place is secured only when the required payment has been received through the official website checkout.
Where a programme is sold as one complete course, a payment plan is a way of paying the total course price in instalments; it is not a pay-as-you-go or monthly-cancellable membership.
After any applicable legal cancellation period has ended, or after the course or service has started at your express request, payments are non-refundable if you withdraw, miss sessions or decide not to continue, except where required by law. Any amount retained or still payable will be limited to what is fair and reasonable, taking account of services already supplied, costs committed and losses directly caused by the cancellation.
Missed sessions are not refundable and cannot always be repeated or transferred. Danielle may offer an alternative where reasonably possible, but this is not guaranteed.
-
PAYMENT PLANS
Courses, mentoring programmes, multi-session training and residentials may offer payment in full or an advertised payment plan.
For courses and programmes costing more than £100, the standard plan requires 50% upfront, with the remaining 50% collected automatically in the instalments shown at checkout, normally on the 30th of each month.
The Mediumship Residential is an exception: the advertised £179 initial payment secures the place, with the remaining balance collected under the displayed schedule. Existing subscription packages continue under the recurring schedule shown at checkout.
You must keep an authorised payment method available. If an instalment fails, access to sessions, materials or the programme may be paused while payment is outstanding. Danielle may contact you to arrange payment and may cancel the place if the account is not brought up to date.
-
RESIDENTIALS
Residential places involve advance commitments to venues, accommodation, catering and other suppliers. If you cancel, withdraw or fail to attend, the £179 initial payment and other sums paid may be retained to cover reasonable, non-recoverable costs and losses, subject to UK consumer law.
Danielle will take reasonable steps to reduce the loss, including attempting to resell the place where practical. If the place is resold, any refund due will be calculated after deducting non-recoverable costs, administration and any remaining direct loss. A replacement place and any refund are not guaranteed.
-
ONLINE PROGRAMMES AND DIGITAL CONTENT
For digital content, downloads, recordings and immediately accessible online materials, you may have a 14-day cancellation right from the date of purchase.
If you expressly request immediate access during that period and acknowledge that your cancellation right will be lost once access, downloading or streaming begins, the right to change your mind ends when supply begins. This does not affect your rights if digital content is faulty, unavailable or not as described.
For live online classes or services booked for a specific date, the rules for dated services may apply.
-
PHYSICAL PRODUCTS AND BOOKS
For eligible physical goods bought online, you normally have 14 days after delivery to tell us you wish to cancel, followed by 14 days to return the goods. Items must be returned in a resaleable condition and you are normally responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
Personalised items and digital products may have different cancellation rules. Your legal rights concerning faulty, damaged or incorrectly described goods remain unaffected.
-
THE 14-DAY CANCELLATION PERIOD FOR SERVICES
For services bought online, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of the contract being made unless an exemption applies.
If you ask for a service to begin during this period, you may be charged a fair proportion for the service already supplied. If the service has been completed following your express request and acknowledgement, your cancellation right may end.
Dated leisure activities, including many event tickets, workshops and classes supplied for a specific date or period, are generally excluded from the standard 14-day cancellation right.
-
TRANSFERS, CREDITS AND NAME CHANGES
Unless this policy or the individual booking states otherwise, transfers, credits and date changes are not automatic. Any offer to move a booking, provide credit or accept a replacement attendee is made at Danielle’s discretion and does not create an obligation to do so for other bookings.
Credit, where offered, has no cash value and must be used within any stated period.
-
IF DANIELLE CANCELS OR CHANGES A BOOKING
If Danielle cancels a service and does not provide it, you will be offered a full refund of the amount paid for that service or, if you prefer, a transfer or credit.
If an event or service is postponed or materially changed, you will be told what options are available. Where the law gives you a right to a refund, that right will be honoured.
Danielle is not responsible for separate travel, accommodation, childcare or other personal costs unless the law requires otherwise. Customers should consider suitable insurance where significant additional costs are involved.
-
REFUND ASSESSMENTS
Where a refund or cancellation charge must be assessed, Danielle will consider services already provided, non-recoverable third-party costs, administration reasonably incurred, the ability to resell the place and the direct loss caused by the cancellation.
No term in this policy permits Danielle to keep more than is fair and lawful. Refunds that are legally due will be returned using the original payment method, normally within 14 days of agreement.
-
